1. .Services > RTLS from the main menu tree.
2. Select the Ekahau tab.
3. Check the Enable checkbox to globally enable Ekahau support on the switch.
This takes effect immediately when the box is checked.
4. Enter the Multicast MAC Address used for all Ekahau tags to send updates via multicast to the
MAC address specified. Typically the MAC address will start with 01-0C-CC-XX-XX-XX.
NOTE
To use the onboard SOLE engine to locate Ekahau tags, site parameters, AP location (Command
Line Interface only) and Zone configuration (optional, Command Line Interface only) must be
configured.
5. Specify the IP Address of the Ekahau RTLS engine server.
6. Enter the Port number used to communicate with the Ekahau RTLS engine. The port range
must be between 1000 and 9000.
7. Click the Apply button to save the Multicast MAC Address, IP Address and Port information
8. Click the Revert button to cancel any changes made within Multicast MAC Address, IP Address
and Port settings and revert back to the last saved configuration.
9. If the Multicast MAC Address, IP Address and Port values are configured and Ekahau RTLS
support is enabled the following information will be displayed:
No. of RX Msgs
Displays the number of messages received by the switch from the external Ekahau
RTLS engine.
Last Msg RX Time
Displays the Date and Time that the last message was received from the external
Ekahau RTLS engine.
