Operation when the Power is Turned on
Operation for initial startup of
the monitor (Direct Connection)

Turn on the power of the monitor.
The screen to select the language opens.

Select the language to be displayed on
the monitor and tap the [OK] button.
[English] is selected in the default setting.

Set the current date and time, and tap the
[OK] button.
y Move to the item to be set by the [←] or [→]
button and enter the numbers.
y Tap the [Delete] button to reset the display of
the selected item.

Select the [Direct Connection] button and
tap the [OK] button.
To use the FTP client function or field network,
select the [Network Connection] button.
The Complete Configuration screen opens.

Turn on the power of the sensor.
Turn on the power of the sensor before the monitor
is restarted by tapping the [OK] button in step 6.

Tap the [OK] button.
The monitor restarts and connects to the
sensor.
y When the monitor is connected with the sensor
for the first time, set the polarity of the sensor. For
the details of procedures, refer to “Operation
for initial startup of the sensor” (Page 3-11).
y After the second time connecting with the sensor,
the run screen opens.
y When the connection is unavailable with the frozen
connection screen, refer to “Remedy when
direct connection is unavailable” (Page A-28).
y For the direct connection, the IP address is
automatically set.
y If the PC is directly connected with the sensor
when the PROFINET function is being used,
the PROFINET function will stop. To use the
PROFINET function again, restart the sensor.
