Error Messages
Checking errors by observing the PWR/ERR indicator light of the sensor
The causes of, and remedies for, an error can be checked by observing the indicator light of the sensor.

A system error occurred.
y Turn on the power of this device.
y If the same error occurs, contact your nearest
KEYENCE office.
A startup memory read error
occurred.
y A data abnormality occurred
due to noise or because the
power switched OFF while
writing was in progress.
y Initialize the settings.
y If the same error occurs, contact your nearest
KEYENCE office.
Blink
A trigger error occurred.
A judgment process is not
performed.
y If a target is to be imaged
using an external trigger, the
external trigger will be input
during a BUSY status.
y If a target is to be imaged
using an internal trigger, the
trigger interval will become
shorter than the processing
time.
y The trigger error can be fixed using one of the
following procedure.
y Next normal trigger input
y Clear Error input
y Switching the program number
y Proceeding to the settings screen of the sensor
y Do not input an external trigger during a BUSY status.
y Set the trigger interval of the internal trigger to a value
that is longer than the processing time.
y An error will not occur if the trigger is set to [OFF]
described in output assignment for the Settings
Navigator (Page 4-60).
An external master image
registration error (without
registered master image)
occurred. The master image
is not updated.
y The image to be registered
as a master image was not
imaged.
y The work memory is
insufficient.
y An external master image registration error can be
fixed using one of the following procedures.
y Successful next external master image registration
y Clearing the Error input
y Switching the program number
y Proceeding to the settings screen for sensor
y Taking an image to be registered as a master image
and register it as an external master image.
y Deleting one or more detection tools.
