Error Messages
Confirming error messages of the monitor
Message Cause Remedy

Sensor system error happens.
Turn on sensor.
If not turned on, contact local
service center.
A system error occurred
in the sensor.
y It is conceivable that a
fault occurred inside the
sensor.
y Turn on the power of the sensor
again.
y If the same error occurs, contact
your nearest KEYENCE office.

Sensor internal memory reading
has failed.
Turn on or initialize sensor.
After this message is closed,
[Initialize] button will be displayed.
A memory read error
occurred when the
sensor started.
y A data trouble occurred.
y It is conceivable that
the power was switched
OFF during writing, or
noise was picked up.
y Initialize the settings following
the instructions on the screen.
y Turn on the power of the sensor
again.
y Do not turn OFF the power
while saving the settings.
y If the same error occurs, contact
your nearest KEYENCE office.

Sensor program xx is damaged.
Initialization is necessary.
After this message is closed,
[Initialize] button will be displayed.
A memory read error
occurred when the
sensor started.
y A data trouble occurred
during the execution of
program number xx.
y It is conceivable that
the power was switched

Judgment processing has
not been executed.
y If a target is to be
imaged using an
external trigger, the
external trigger will be
input during a BUSY
status.
y If a target is to be
imaged using an
internal trigger, the
trigger interval will
become shorter than
the processing time.
y An trigger error can be fixed
using one of the following
procedure.
y Next normal trigger input
y Clearing the Error input
y Switching the program
number
y Proceeding to the settings
screen of the sensor
y Do not input the external trigger
during a BUSY status.
y Set the trigger interval of the
internal trigger to a value that
is longer than the processing
time.
y An error will not occur if the
trigger is set to [OFF] described
in output assignment for the
Settings Navigator (Page
4-60).
