Connecting SDI ports to the Fiber Receiver card

Step

Action

Connect the NTAK1118 one-port SDI cable to the 9-pin SDI
connection provided by the Fiber Receiver card.

for the location of the SDI connection at the top

of the fiber expansion cabinet.
See

for the location of the SDI connection at the

back of the fiber expansion chassis.

Connect the NTAK1118 SDI cable to a TTY terminal.

Note: A Modem Eliminator Adapter is required to connect to
a terminal.

If the system is to be accessed remotely, connect the SDI cable to
the system modem.

Connect the modem to an outside line.

Test the modem for proper operation once you have started up the
system.
