Section 15 — EAS Hardware Installation
EAS Hardware Installation Steps
Follow the needed steps to installing the hardware for the EAS option:
1. Connect the EAS device’s serial connection to the Serial Tally connector
on the Maestro’s rear panel (
Figure 298 ).
The EAS device must have a serial connection that is configured the
same as it is defined in the Serial Connection table.
2. Connect the EAS device’s Digital audio connector to the appropriate
Maestro connection. See your EAS device’s Installation manual for the
correct connection type (
Figure 299 ).
Note Analog audio must be converted to Digital audio before connecting to the
Maestro master control device.
The image in Figure 299 shows the audio connection being connected to the
1/2 MON OUTS connection; this is used as an example only. The actual
connection depends on your configuration.
