Stereo Sources
The following examples show different approaches for up-mixing Stereo
sources to surround outputs as well as showing a down-mix of stereo-to-
mono.
The Stereo choices are:
• Stereo-to-stereo (1:1 mapping)
• Stereo-to-surround (up-mixing two different ways)
• Stereo-to-mono (down-mixing)
Figure 92 shows the traditional left and right channels to the left front and
right front output channels mapping. This method is preferred by some
users.
