Summary of Installation Procedure
4. Power up the Maestro system.
a. The Maestro/Concerto frame is powered up by connecting the
power cords.
b. The hardware control panel is powered up by connecting the power
cords.
c. Switch the PC’s power switches to the ON position.
5. Press the Power buttons on the System PC and then on the monitor.
Pressing the Power button on the PC will start the power supplies.
The Windows XP screen will appear and then the Windows desktop
will appear. The Maestro icons will be on the desktop (
Figure 46 ). The
System PC is now ready to be configured.

6. Configure the system using the configuration/deployment PC (as
described in Section 5-Software Configuration). For operating procedures,
see Section 7-Maestro Operation.
7. (Optional - for automation-controlled systems) The automation
computer should be connected to the Processor Automation port after
the Maestro system is operational. See
page 112 .
