Calibrating the TT 110 touch probe
Measuring Tools with the TT 110 Touch Probe
• Before calibrating the touch probe, you must enter the exact length and radius of the calibrating tool into the
tool table TOOL.T.
• In addition, you must define the position of the TT 110 within the machine working space by setting the
machine parameters MP 6580.0 to MP 6580.2 (see page 12-6).
• If you change one of the machine parameters 6580.0 to 6580.2, you must recalibrate the TT 110.
The TT 110 is calibrated automatically with the measuring cycle
TCH PROBE 30. The TNC automatically finds the center offset of the
calibration gauge. After the calibration cycle is half complete, the TNC
rotates the spindle by 180°. Use an exactly cylindrical part, for example a
cylindrical pin, as calibration gauge. The measured calibration values are
stored in the TNC and automatically included in subsequent tool measure-
ments.
