4 POS and CPOS interface configuration

Step 3 Choose one of the following commands to configure frame format of the E1/T1 channel as

required.

Run the

e1

el-numher

set frame-format { crc4 | no-crc4 } command to configure frame

format of E1 channel.

Run the

t1

tl-numher

set frame-format { esf | sf } command to configure frame format

of T1 channel.

The E1 channel supports the frame format of 4-bit Cyclic Redundancy Check (CRC).

The T1 channel supports Super Frame (SF) and Extended Super Frame (ESF) frame formats.

By default, the frame format of the E1 channel is no-CRC4, and frame format of T1 channel
is ESF.

4.4.4 Configuring clock mode

A

When the CPOS interface card on the SR8000 routers and the other devices are connected,

configure the clock mode of the channelized E1/T1 as the master clock mode.

Do as follows on the routers:

Step 1 Run:

system-view

The system view appears.

Step 2 Run:

controller epos cpos-number

The CPOS interface view appears.

Step 3 Choose one of the following steps to configure clock mode of the E1/T1 channel as required.

Run the

e1

el-numher

set clock { master | slave } command to configure clock mode of

E1 channel.

Run the

t1

tl-numher

set clock { master | slave } command to configure clock mode of

T1 channel.

By default, the slave clock mode is the E1/T1 channel.
