parameters of the local end are consistent with the terminal discriminator parameters of the
peer end.
If you want to use the
undo discriminator command on the MP-Group interface, you must
use the
shutdown and undo shutdown commands to enable the configuration.
Step 4 Run:
quit
Return to the system view.
Step 5 Run:
interface interface-type interface-number
The interface view appears.
Step 6 Choose one of the following methods to restart the interface.
•
Run the
shutdown and undo shutdown commands.
•
Run the
restart command.
When the physical interface is bound to the MP-group,
•
If the LCP of the physical interface is in the Opened status, you must restart the interface,
so that the LCP negotiation is enabled to ensure that this physical interface is
successfully bound to the MP.
•
If the LCP of the physical interface is not negotiated successfully is still in the
negotiation stage, you need not restart the physical interface.
CQ NOTE
To ensure that the physical interfaces are successfully bound to the MP, Nortel recommends for you to
restart all the physical interfaces after all the bindings are configured.
After running the
undo ppp mp command succeeds in the interface view, you need to delete
the MP binding. At this time, you need not to re-start the interface because the PPP protocol
can implement auto-negotiation till the link protocol status becomes Up. A period of time
(about 40s) is needed from the success of running the command to the Up status of the link
protocol.
