8 Frame relay configuration

You cannot configure the
fr dlci
-
switch
command in the sub-interface view. You cannot specify the
outgoing interface command as a sub-interface.
•
Run the
interface
interface-type interface-number command to enter the FR interface
view.
•
Run the
interface mfr
interface-number command to enter the MFR interface view.
Step 3
Run:
fr dlci-switch in-d^lci interface interface-type interface-number dlci out-dlci
Run the
fr dlci-switch
command on both inbound and outbound interfaces used for FR
switching. You must not make the inbound interface and the outbound interface as the same
interface. Otherwise, PVC switching does not take effect.

8.6.3 Configuring the PVC used for frame relay switching
Do as follows on the routers:
Step 1
Run:
system-view
The system view appears.
Step 2
Run:
fr switching
The command enables FR switching.
Step 3
Run:
fr switch name [ interface interface-type interface-number dlci dlcil interface
interface-type interface-number dlci dlci2 ]
The command configures the PVC used for FR switching.
Run the
shutdown/undo shutdown
command on the frame relay switching view to control
the PVC status and then to affect the routing table. If you configure the static address mapping,
you cannot successfully configure the PVC switching.

Run the following commands to check the previous configuration.
