10 Low-speed ATM configuration

Only when the OAM attributes of the connection point is applied to the transparent
transmission of the ATM cells, you need to configure the OAM attributes of the connection
point of the PE device as end-middle and seg-middle. In other cases, the two types of
attributes such as end-middle and seg-middle are not supported.

SR8000 supports two types of connection points on the ATM network, as shown in Table
Table 10-3

Usually refers to the edge node on the ATM network.
segment point
Refers to the connection point between the segments. One ATM link
consists of multiple segments.
When configuring the OAM attributes of the connection point, note the following points:
•
The PVC/PVP must exist before the OAM attributes of the connection point are
configured.
•
During the recovery stage, you cannot delete the OAM attributes of the connection point.
10.10.3 Configuring the Identifier for Specified Point of Loopback
Do as follows on the routers:
Step 1
Run:
system-view
The system view is displayed.
Step 2
Run:
atm llid slot-id llid
The LLID is specified as the identifier for the connection point of loopback of the ATM board.
By default, LLID is not configured for the ATM board (The LLID with all Fs are invalid).
Only one LLID can be specified for the ATM board and must be unique on the global site.
The LLID is applied to the test of the specified point loopback. The segment loopback cell
reaches the specified point and returns.
