OQ NOTE
•
You cannot configure this command on a P2P sub-interface.
•
If you configure an interface with static mapping, you do not configure the interface with DLCI.
•
If you configure DCE devices with static mapping and DTE devices with dynamic mapping, two
ends can communicate. If you configure DCE devices with dynamic mapping while DTE devices
with static mapping, two ends cannot communicate.

8.3.3 Checking the configuration
Run the following commands to check the previous configuration.
Action
Command
Check the FR address mapping table.
display fr map-info
Run the
display fr map-info
command. When the IP addresses mapping between the local
interface and the peer interface appears the configuration succeeds.
When you connect two interfaces through FR, the DTE interface can set up the dynamic
address mapping table by learning the IP address of the DCE interface. For example:
Map Statistics for interface Serial6/0/1 (DTE)
DLCI = 24, IP INARP 20.1.1.1, Serial6/0/1
create time = 2006/09/01 10:58:09, status = ACTIVE
encapsulation = ietf, vlink = 393217, broadcast
Through static address mapping, on the DCE device, to view the IP address of the DTE
device.
Map Statistics for interface Serial6/0/1 (DCE)
DLCI = 24, IP 20.1.1.2, Serial6/0/1
create time = 2006/09/01 10:57:41, status = ACTIVE
encapsulation = ietf, vlink = 393217
8.4 Configuring MFR
8.4.1 Establishing the configuration task
Applicable environment
If a single physical link cannot provide the required bandwidth, you can bind multiple links or
channelized serial interfaces to form an MFR interface.
To cancel the bundle between a physical interface and an MFR interface, the
link-protocol
command must be used to change the link layer protocol type of the interface into the type
other than MFR.
