1.2.2 Entering the WAN interface view
Do as follows on the routers:
Step 1 Run:
system-view
The system view appears.
Step 2 Choose one of the following commands to enter the corresponding interface view according
to interface type:
•
Run:
interface interface-type interface-number
The view of serial, POS, or ATM interface appears.
•
Run:
user-interface interface-type interface-number
The view of Console, TTY or VTY interface appears.
•
Run:
controller interface-type interface-number
The view of E1, CE1, CE3, CT1,or CPOS interface appears.

Before configuring a WAN interface, you need to know networking requirements and
diagram.
The following information is required:

The way in which the physical interface is connected

The working mode and relevant parameters that should be selected for the interface
•
The negotiated link layer protocol and working parameters between the interface and the
peer interface
