7.8.8 Example for configuring the PVC function of XOT
Networking requirements
You connect Router B and Router C through the Ethernet interfaces. Set up a TCP connection
between the routers, through which the X.25 packets can forward. Configure PVC to
implement the PVC XOT function. See Figure 7-17.
Configuration roadmap
The configuration roadmap is as follows:
1.
Configure the link protocol of the interface on each router.
2.
Allocate X121 and IP addresses to each interface.
3.
Configure the X.25 VC range of each router.
4.
Configure PVC of Router A and Router D.
5.
Configure the PVC route between Router B and Router C.
Data preparation
To complete the configuration, you need the following data:
•
The IP addresses of the interfaces on Router A, Router B, Router C and Router D are
1.1.1.1/8, 10.1.1.1/8, 10.1.1.2/8 and 1.1.1.2/8 respectively.
•
The X121 addresses of the interfaces on Router A and Router D are 1 and 2 respectively.
•
The PVC number of all the interfaces is 1.
Configuration procedure
Step 1
Configure Router A.
