Configuration roadmap
The configuration roadmap is as follows:
1.
Configure IP addresses of the interfaces on three routers.
2.
Configure the link protocol of the interfaces on three routers to X.25.
3.
Configure X121 addresses and address mapping information.
4.
Configure parameters such as the window size and the packet length.
5.
Configure the X.25 VC range.
Data preparation
To complete the configuration, you need the following data:
•
IP addresses of the interfaces Serial 0/0/0 on the three routers are 168.173.24.1/24,
168.173.24.2/24, and 168.173.24.3/24 respectively.
•
X.121 addresses assigned to the interfaces of the three routers are 30561001, 30561002,
and 30561003 respectively.
•
Standard window size supported by the packet network: Both receiving window and
sending window are 5.
•
Standard maximum packet length: Both maximum receiving packet length and
maximum sending packet length are 512.
•
Channel range: PVC section, incoming-only channel section and outgoing-only channel
section are disabled, and two-way channel section is [1, 32].
Configuration procedure
Step 1 Configure Router A.
• Configure an IP address for the interface.
[RouterA] interface Serial 1/0/0
[RouterA-Serial1/0/0] ip address 168.173.24.1 255.255.255.0
• Connect the router to the public packet network and make the router serve as DTE side.
[RouterA-Serial1/0/0] link-protocol x25 dte
[RouterA-Serial1/0/0] x25 x121-address 30561001
