10.7 Configuring the PPPoEoA application
10.7.1 Establishing the configuration task
Applicable environment
To enable the ATM to carry PPPoE packets, you need to create PVC first.
You can configure PPPoEoA application mapping on the PVC to enable the AAL5 to carry
PPPoE packets.
Preconfiguration tasks
Before configuring PPPoEoA applications, complete the following tasks:

Configuring physical attributes of the ATM interface
•
Creating a VT and configuring its IP address and mask
•
Configuring the PPP authentication mode for the VT
• Creating a VE interface and enabling PPPoE protocol
Data preparation
To configure PPPoEoA applications, you need the following data.
