This section describes how to configure CHAP unidirectional authentication.
Preconfiguration tasks
Before configuring CHAP authentication, complete the following tasks:
•
Configuring physical attributes of the router interfaces.
•
Encapsulating the interfaces with PPP.

To configure CHAP, you need the following data.

configured for the authenticator and authenticated to be consistent.
