Configure the address mapping and other parameters.

Data preparation

To complete the configuration, you need the following data:

The IP addresses of the interfaces on Router A and Router B are 202.38.160.1/24 and
202.38.160.2/24 respectively.

#

The X121 address of the interfaces on Router A and Router B are 20112451 and
20112452 respectively.

#

Setting the default maximum length of the received and sent packet to both 1024.

#

Setting the size of the receiving and sending window of the VC to both 5.

Configuration procedure

Step 1

Configure Router A.

# Select the interface.

system-view

[RouterA] interface serial1/0/0

# Specify an IP address for this interface.

[RouterA-Serial1/0/0] ip address 202.38.160.1 255.255.255.0

# Configure the link layer protocol of the interface as X.25 and specify its operating mode as
DTE.

[RouterA-Serial1/0/0] link-protocol x25 dte

# Specify an X.121 address for this interface.

[RouterA-Serial1/0/0] x25 x121-address 20112451

# Specify the address mapping heading for the peer.

[RouterA-Serial1/0/0] x25 map ip 202.38.160.2 x121-address 20112452

# As this is a direct connection, the traffic control parameters can be increased slightly.

[RouterA-Serial1/0/0] x25 packet-size 1024 1024

[RouterA-Serial1/0/0] x25 window-size 5 5

[RouterA-Serial1/0/0] shutdown

[RouterA-Serial1/0/0] undo shutdown

Step 2

Configure Router B.

# Select the interface.

system-view

[RouterB] interface serial1/0/0

# Specify an IP address for this interface.

[RouterB-Serial1/0/0] ip address 202.38.160.2 255.255.255.0

# Configure the link layer protocol of the interface as X.25 and specify its operating mode as
DCE.

[RouterB-Serial1/0/0] link-protocol x25 dce
