11.2.6 Configuring the loopback mode

Do as follows on the routers:

Step 1

Run:

system-view

The system view appears.

Step 2

Run:

interface atm interface-number

The ATM interface view appears.

Step 3

Run:

loopback { local | remote }

The command configures loopback mode.

Use the following loopback functions specific test purposes:

local

: indicates the internal loop used to detect whether the local service chip is normal.

remote

: indicates the outer loop used to detect whether the remote is normal.

By default, the loopback function is disabled.

11.2.7 Checking the configuration

Run the following commands to check the previous configuration.

The Maximum Transmit Unit is 1500 bytes
