CD NOTE
When configuring the permanent virtual circuit on the sub-interface, you must divide the range of the
virtual template on the main interface.
—End
The X.25 sub-interface is a virtual interface with its own protocol address and VC.
You can create multiple sub-interfaces on a physical interface interconnecting the networks
through one physical interface. All the sub-interfaces under the main interface share the same
X.121 address as the main interface.
The sub-interface of X.25 can be divided into two types:
•
Point-to-point sub-interface connects a single remote end.
•
Point-to-multipoint sub-interface connects multiple remote ends in the same network
segment.
CQ NOTE
If sub-interfaces exist and if you run the shutdown command and the undo shutdown command on the
main interface in succession, you must use the two commands at an interval of at least 15 seconds.
