Note
The process for setting the ingress or egress rate limit is the same,
except for the selection of ingress or egress. Therefore, the figures
in the rest of this procedure illustrate setting the ingress rate limit as
an example of how to do both.
The Port Ingress Rate Menu is displayed, as shown in Figure 36.

7. From the Ingress Rate Limit Menu, select Set Ingress Rate Limit.
The following prompt is displayed:
Enter Ingress Rate Limit (in Kbps): ->
8. Enter a rate limit, from 70 to 250,000 Kb/s.
A confirmation message is displayed. As an example of the difference
between the rate you set and the actual rate limit, if you set the limit to
125,000, the following message is displayed:
Ingress Rate Limit is configured to 125000 Kbps.
The average Ingress Rate Limit for this configuration is
approximately 142857 Kbps.
The differences between the rate you set and the actual rate are
described in Appendix D, “Rate Limiting on the AT-CM2K0S Line
Card” on page 279.
9. From the Main Menu, select System Configuration.
The System Configuration Menu is displayed, as shown in Figure 10
on page 46.
10. From the System Configuration Menu, select Save Configuration
File.
