Configuring Management Access
To enable or disable a management access method, perform the following
procedure:
1. From the Main Menu, select System Configuration.
The System Configuration Menu is displayed, as shown in Figure 10
on page 46.
2. From the System Configuration Menu, select Omega Options.
The Omega Options Menu is displayed, as shown in Figure 11 on
page 47.
3. Adjust the following settings as required:
Local Omega Enabled
Disable Local Omega
This selection allows you to access the Omega interface locally by
connecting a terminal or PC to the RS-232 port on the management
module. The default for this access method is enabled.
Remote Omega Enabled
No Remote Omega
This selection allows you to access the Omega interface remotely
using the Telnet program. The default for this access method is
enabled.
Caution
Only one Omega access method can be disabled at a time. If both
access methods are disabled, you will not be able to manage the
chassis.
4. From the Main Menu, select System Configuration.
The System Configuration Menu is displayed, as shown in Figure 10
on page 46.
5. From the System Configuration Menu, select Save Configuration
File.
