Restarting the Line Cards
This procedure restarts the line cards.
Note
If DHCP is enabled, the IP address of the Converteon™ chassis
MAY change after a reset or power cycle. For more information on
how to enable DHCP, refer to “Enabling or Disabling DHCP” on
page 33.
To reset the chassis, perform the following procedure:
1. From the Main Menu, select Administration.
The Administration Menu is displayed, as shown in Figure 6 on page
38.
2. From the Administration Menu, select Reset Chassis and Restart
Line Cards.
The Reset Chassis Menu is displayed, as shown in Figure 7.

3. From the Reset Chassis window, select Yes to reset the system or No
to cancel the command.
Note
Resetting the chassis also resets the line cards; the forwarding of
traffic stops momentarily during the reset.
If you choose Yes, the following prompt is displayed:
The chassis will reset when FLASH writes are complete.
It takes a few seconds to reset the chassis. After the reset is complete,
the Administration menu is redisplayed, and the changes are saved to
the FLASH PROM.
