5. To modify the Target Address Timeout, select Set Target Address
Timeout.
The following prompt is displayed:
Enter Target Address Name:
6. Enter a previously configured Target Address Name.
This is the name of the SNMP manager, or host, that manages the
SNMP activity on your switch. You can enter a name of up to 32
alphanumeric characters.
The following prompt is displayed:
Enter Timeout (10mS): [0 to 2147483647]-> 1500
7. Enter a timeout value in milliseconds.
When an Inform message is generated, a response from the switch is
required. The timeout value determines how long the switch considers
the Inform message an active message. This parameter applies to
Inform messages only. The range is from 0 to 2,147,483,647
milliseconds. The default value is 1500 milliseconds.
8. From the Main Menu, select System Configuration.
The System Configuration Menu is displayed, as shown in Figure 10
on page 46.
9. From the System Configuration Menu, select Save Configuration
File.
Modifying the Target Address Retries
The Target Address Retries parameter only applies when the message
type is an Inform message. To modify the Target Address Retries
parameter in an SNMPv3 Target Address Table entry, perform the
following procedure.
1. From the Main Menu, select System Configuration.
The System Configuration Menu is displayed, as shown in Figure 10
on page 46.
2. From the System Configuration menu, select SNMPv3
Configurations.
The SNMPv3 Configurations menu is displayed, as shown in Figure 61
on page 147.
