Trace Route Operation
The Web interface does not support trace route on IPv6 addresses.
Before performing the trace route operations, you need to execute the ip ttl-expires enable and ip
unreachables enable commands to enable the sending of ICMP time-exceeded messages and
ICMP port unreachable messages of the device.
Select Diagnostic Tools > Trace Route from the navigation tree, and click the Trace Route tab to
enter the Trace Route configuration page, as shown in Figure 29-5 .

After the above configuration, type the destination IP address or host name in the text box, and click
Start to execute the trace route command, and then you can see the result in the Summary box, as
shown in Figure 29-6 .
