11-22 Performance and Capacity Specifications
•
The maximum number of SST-PFBCLX modules that can be
supported by a C200 controller is 10. The modules may be
distributed in one or more downlink CNI’s. (TBD)
•
Multi-master configurations are supported. (TBD)
•
Regarding the existing limits of 64 IOM connections per CPM
and 24 IOM’s per downlink CNI:
– The PBIM block is counted as 2 IOM’s
– The various PROFIBUS device/module blocks that are
associated with a given PBIM are not counted in these limits.
(Only the associated PBIM is counted.)
•
The I/O publication/communication rate between the PBIM and
the C200 is configurable as a property of the PBIM block and
can vary between 12.5 and 50 msec.
•
All PROFIBUS DP baud rates are supported, up to 12 M.
Table 11.O Profibus Capacity/Topology Specifications
PFB Module and PROFIBUS Block Specifications
Note: The PROFIBUS interface module hardware component is the SST-PFBCLX, and is referred to herein
as the PFB Module. This device acts as the “master” on the PROFIBUS-DP network. Each PFB module is
represented as a block in the CEE, which is referred to as the PROFIBUS Interface Module Block (PBIM).
