4. Click OK to launch the Service Pack 6a setup application.
5. If a third-party system utilities message appears, click OK.
6. At the Setup window, check the boxes:
•
Accept the License Agreement
•
Backup files necessary to uninstall the Service Pack at a later
time.
7. Click Install to initiate the Service Pack 6a update.
8. If a window appears requesting you to replace a vendor
installed file, click Yes to replace the file with the one provided
by the Service Pack Setup.
9. At the Setup complete window, click Restart. The PC
automatically restarts.
Installing MDAC 2.5 Service Pack 1
ProcessLogix systems use this software to connect to the Engineering
Repository Database. If you are installing an Engineering Workstation
(with Control Builder installed), then it is required that this software
package be installed. ProcessLogix Operator Workstations with only
(client) software installed do not require this functionality.
Follow the instructions below to install this software:
1. Insert the ProcessLogix R400.0 Software CD 2 into the CD-ROM
drive.
2. Click Start
⇒
Run.
3. Key in this path location in the Open entry field or use Browse
to navigate to the mdac_typ.exe file on the CD.
>D:(or your CD-ROM drive letter)\MDAC25\mdac_typ.exe<
4. Click OK to launch MDAC 2.5 Setup.
5. Check the Yes, I accept all of the terms checkbox and click
Next.
6. Click Next to begin the installation.
7. If prompted, choose the Let setup restart the system now option
and click Finish. Otherwise, click Finish and restart the PC.
