Replacing and Repairing
Removing ProcessLogix
Software Components
Use the appropriate procedure that follows to remove a given
ProcessLogix software component. If you want to remove all the
components, remove them in the order shown.
SQL
If you need to repair or replace SQL, complete the procedures
in Changing the Computer Name on a ProcessLogix Server on
page 8-16 with the exception of Changing the PC Name on
page 8-22.
RSLinx
Removing RSLinx
1. Click Start

Settings
⇒
Control Panel.
2. Double-click Add/Remove Programs.
3. If RSI utilities or Rockwell Software Hardware Maintenance Tool
is present, select it, click Remove, and accept default to
uninstall.
4. Select RSLinx.
5. Click Remove.
6. Click Yes to confirm.
ATTENTION
!
Before installing or uninstalling any software
component, you MUST exit all ProcessLogix
applications and stop all ProcessLogix services.
Refer to Stopping ProcessLogix Applications and
Services on page 8-1.
Replacing ProcessLogix R400.0 subsystems is
different from prior ProcessLogix releases, previous
techniques do NOT work from ProcessLogix R400.0.
These procedures do NOT support ProcessLogix
R400.0 upgrades.
