5. If necessary, at the Remove Shared File prompt, click Yes to All
and click Yes to confirm.
6. When completed, close the Add/Remove Programs window.
Installing Service Pack 2 for Windows 2000
If you are installing Knowledge Builder on Windows 2000, refer
to Installing Service Pack 2 for Windows 2000 on page 2-17.
Installing Internet Explorer 5.5 SP1
Refer to Installing Internet Explorer 5.5 SP1 on page 2-19.
Installing MDAC2.5 SP1
When installing KB on Windows NT systems you must first install
MDAC 2.5 SP1 on your system. If you are using Windows 2000, skip
to Installing Knowledge Builder on page 8-34.
ProcessLogix systems use this software to connect to the Engineering
Repository Database. If you are installing an Engineering Workstation
(with Control Builder installed), then it is required that this software
package be installed. ProcessLogix Operator Workstations with only
(client) software installed do not require this functionality.
Follow the instructions below to install this software:
1. Insert the ProcessLogix R400.0 Software CD 2 into the CD-ROM
drive.
2. Click Start
⇒
Run.
3. Key in this path location in the Open entry field or use Browse
to navigate to the mdac_typ.exe file on the CD.
>D:(or your CD-ROM drive letter)\MDAC25\mdac_typ.exe<
4. Click OK to launch MDAC 2.5 Setup.
5. Check the Yes, I accept all of the terms checkbox and click
Next.
