Buffer Hit Ratio Oracle The buffer cache hit ratio calculates how
often a requested block has been found
in the buffer cache, without requiring
disk access. If the ratio is less then 90
percent investigate further. You may
need to increase cache size by
increasing db_block_buffer(8i) or
db_cache_size(9i).

CPU could be pegged at 60 percent,
while the Sybase CPU is pegged at 100
percent.
