Example
This example sets the trigger threshold for automatic storm control for broadcast traffic on port 1.
Console(config)#interface ethernet 1/1
Console(config-if)#auto-traffic-control broadcast alarm-fire-threshold 255

auto-traffic-control auto-control-release
This command automatically releases a control response of rate-limiting after the time specified in
the
auto-traffic-control release-timer
command has expired.
Syntax
auto-traffic-control {broadcast | multicast}
auto-control-release
broadcast - Specifies automatic storm control for broadcast traffic.
multicast - Specifies automatic storm control for multicast traffic.

Command Usage

This command can be used to automatically stop a control response of rate-limiting after the
specified action has been triggered and the release timer has expired.
•
To release a control response which has shut down a port after the specified action has been
triggered and the release timer has expired, use the
auto-traffic-control control-release
command.

Console(config-if)#auto-traffic-control broadcast auto-control-release

This command manually releases a control response.

broadcast - Specifies automatic storm control for broadcast traffic.
multicast - Specifies automatic storm control for multicast traffic.
