Command Usage
The specified level indicates an event threshold. All events at this level or higher will be sent to the
configured email recipients. (For example, using Level 7 will report all events from level 7 to level
0.)
Example
This example will send email alerts for system errors from level 3 through 0.
Console(config)#logging sendmail level 3
Console(config)#
logging sendmail destination- email
This command specifies the email recipients of alert messages. Use the no form to remove a
recipient.
Syntax
[no] logging sendmail destination-email email-address
email-address - The source email address used in alert messages. (Range: 1-41
characters)

Command Usage
You can specify up to five recipients for alert messages. However, you must enter a separate
command to specify each recipient.
Example
Console(config)#logging sendmail destination-email [email protected]
Console(config)#
logging sendmail source-email
This command sets the email address used for the “From” field in alert messages. Use the no form
to restore the default value.
Syntax
logging sendmail source-email email-address
no logging sendmail source-email
