Item Description
Group Name
Select an SNMP group to which the user belongs:
•
When the security level is NoAuth/NoPriv, you can select an
SNMP group with no authentication no privacy.
•
When the security level is Auth/NoPriv, you can select an
SNMP group with no authentication no privacy or
authentication without privacy.
•
When the security level is Auth/Priv, you can select an
SNMP group of any security level.
Authentication Mode
Select an authentication mode (including MD5 and SHA) when
the security level is Auth/NoPriv or Auth/Priv.
Authentication Password
Set the authentication password when the security level is
Auth/NoPriv or Auth/Priv.
The confirm authentication password must be the same with the
authentication password.
Confirm Authentication Password
Privacy Mode
Select a privacy mode (including DES56, AES128, and 3DES)
when the security level is Auth/Priv.
Privacy Password
Set the privacy password when the security level is Auth/Priv.
The confirm privacy password must be the same with the
privacy password.

ACL
Associate a basic ACL with the user to restrict the source IP
address of SNMP packets. To allow or prohibit the specified
NMS to access the agent by using this user name, you can
allow or prohibit SNMP packets with a specific source IP
address.
Configuring the SNMP trap function

Select Advanced > SNMP from the navigation tree, and click the Trap tab to enter the page as
shown in
.
On the upper part of the page, you can select to enable the SNMP trap function.
On the lower part of the page, you can configure target hosts of the SNMP traps.
