Caution If the Fibre Channel optical cable is not properly connected to
the controller, controller failure may result. In addition, if the cable is
not regularly maintained, its performance and lifespan will be affected.
Before proceeding, it is important to administer the precationary
measures detailed in the following sections.
Fibre Channel Optical Cable Precautions
Prior to connecting the Fibre Channel cable to the controller, look for
the white stripe on each side of the coupling. After the cable is seated
into the controller, be sure that the white stripes are hidden. Also, when
connecting the Fibre Channel cable to the controller, listen for a
