5. Enter option 2, Enter Code PATCH local program. CLCP displays the
following:

is used to manage software code patches. Select an option
from the following list:

6. Enter option 1, Enter a Patch, to install a patch. CLCP displays the
following:
This is the Enter a Code Patch option. The program prompts
you for the patch information, one line at time. Be careful
to enter the information exactly as it appears on the patch
release. Patches may be installed for any version of software;
however, patches entered for software versions other than
XXXXX are not applied until the matching version of software
is installed.
To enter any patch, you must first install all patches with
lower patch numbers than the patch you are entering, beginning
with patch number 1, for a specific software version. If you
incorrectly enter the patch information, you are given the
option to review the patch one line at a time.

7. Enter Y(es) and follow the on-screen prompts.
8. After the patch is installed, press the controller’s reset button to restart
the controller.
Deleting a Software Patch
Use the following steps to delete a software patch:
1. From a host console, quiesce all port activity.
2. Connect a PC or terminal to the controller’s maintenance port.
