Instance Codes and Last-Failure Codes
Instance codes identify and accompany significant events that do not
cause the controller to terminate operation; last-failure codes identify
and accompany failure events that cause the controller to stop
operating. Last-failure codes are sent to the host only after the affected
controller is restarted successfully.
