Deploying VLANs using batch mode
Using the Batch Deploy option, you can configure access ports, trunk ports, hybrid ports, or create
VLANs for one or more devices.
Batch deployment for VLAN creation
You can configure a VLAN on one or more devices using the Batch Deploy option for VLANs.
To use batch deployment to create a VLAN:
1. Navigate to VLAN Management > Batch Deploy.
a. Click the Service tab from the tabular navigation system on the top.
b. Click the VLAN Management on the navigation tree on the left.
c. Click Batch Deploy link located under VLAN Management on the navigation tree on the left.
The Batch Deploy page appears.
2. Click VLAN option.
The window for batch deploying new VLANs appears.
3. Enter the VLAN ID for the VLAN you want to add access ports to in the VLAN ID field.
4. Enter the name for the VLAN in the VLAN Name field.
Question marks (?) and non-ASCII characters are not permitted in VLAN names.
5. Click Add to select the devices to which you want to add the VLAN you specified in Step 2.
Add devices by using either the View or Advanced query option. See "
Adding devices by View "
and " Adding devices by Advanced query ."
To delete selected devices, select the check box next to Device Status for the decives and click
Delete.
To deploy the VLAN to ports of a device, click the link in the Port Operation for the device in the
VLAN list and select the ports. To configure the VLAN virtual interface for a device, click Set Virtual
Interface for a device in the device list. If the VLAN virtual interface you configure already exsits,
the new virtual interface will take effect.
6. Click OK.
7. Review the results of your batch deploy configuration task in the Deploying VLAN Summary Report
that display upon completion.
Batch deployment for access ports
Using batch deployment for access ports, you can configure one or more access ports for an existing
VLAN.
To use batch deployment to configure access ports for an existing VLAN:
1. Navigate to VLAN Management > Batch Deploy:
a. Click the Service tab from the tabular navigation system on the top.
b. Click the VLAN Management on the navigation tree on the left.
c. Click Batch Deploy link located under VLAN Management on the navigation tree on the left.
The Batch Deploy page appears.
