Account Range: Range for the guest access accounts. According to the account type, suffix, serial

number, suffix, and account display suffix configurations, IMC automatically calculates the range
for the guest access accounts. Suppose the account type is Prefix + Serial Number + Suffix, the

prefix is BJ, the serial number length is 5, the suffix is VIP, and the account display suffix is 2F, the

guest account range is BJ00001VIP-BJ99999VIP.

Password Type: Type of the guest account passwords. The password type can be Numbers and
Letters, Numbers, or Letters. The password type specifies the elements of account passwords.
Number and Letters specifies that the password must contain numbers and letters. Numbers

specifies that the password can contain only numbers. Letters indicates that the password can

contain only letters.

Password Length: Length of an account password. This field is an integer and ranges from 1 to 9.
For example, 5 indicates that the password length is 5.

Expiry Time: Expiry period of a guest account (in hours). The expiry period ranges from 1 to
100000. For example, suppose you set the expiry period to 72 hours for guest accounts. When 72
hours eclipses after a guest account is created, the guest account is automatically invalidated and

deregistered from IMC.

Expiry Time Modify: Indicates whether the expiry period can be modified when guest accounts are
created. Allowed indicates that you are allowed to modify the expiry time when creating guest

accounts. Not Allowed indicates that you cannot.

Device User Group
Guest users can access the network through only the access devices in the device user group list.
The privilege level of guest users is determined by the privilege level assigned to the device user

group.

Device IP: IP address of a device.

Device Name: Name of a device. The name is made up of the device label and device IP.

Device User Group: User group of the device. When the users in the guest access user group access
the network through the device, the device assigns the access users to the user group to controlling
the privilege of these access users.

Click Back to return to the List of Guest Access User Groups.

Deleting a guest access user group

You cannot delete a guest access user group where guest accounts have been created. To do that, first

delete all guest accounts created in the guest access user group, and then delete the guest access user

group.
To delete a guest access user group:

1.

Navigate to Users > Guest Access User Group.

a.

Click the User tab from the tabular navigation system on the top.

b.

Click Guest Access Manager on the navigation tree on the left.

c.

Click Guest Access User Group under Guest Access Manager from the navigation system on the
left.

Click the Delete icon for the guest access user group you want to delete. A confirmation dialog

box appears.

Click OK to confirm deletion of the guest access user group.
