Changes to Insert options (CC)
Quicker access to Insert options and enhanced support for HTML5 elements
Options in the Insert panel and the Insert menu are reorganized to help you quickly discover and insert those options. New HTML5 elements have
been introduced in the Insert menu.
The changes to the Insert options have been done for the following reasons:
Sync the ordering of options in the Insert panel with the Insert menu to improve speed of their disoverability.
As part of enhanced HTML5 support in Dreamweaver, new HTML5 elements introduced in the Insert options.
Insert options that required multiple-clicks are deprecated. These options can be quickly and easily configured using the Property Inspector
or the Code view.
Deprecated options
Insert options that required multiple clicks are deprecated. These options can be configured using the Property Inspector, or in the Code view.
As a consequence, the following dialogs have been deprecated: Tag Editor, Tag Chooser, Form Tag and Input Tag Accessibility Attributes. The
corresponding options are, therefore, not available in the right-click menu as well.
The following options under Data in the Insert panel are deprecated: Dataset, Repeat, Region, and Repeat List.
The following options in the Head Tags category under HTML are deprecated: Refresh, Base, Link.
The option to set color icons in the Insert panel has been deprecated. Element icons are now available only in black and white.
Reorganized options in the Insert panel and Insert menu
The Insert panel and Insert menu are reorganized to be in sync with each other. The order of the options in the Insert panel matches with the
Insert menu.
Also, there are some new options available and some of the previous options have been removed.
