STAT titration
Problem
Cause
Remedy
The control point is
not kept stable.
The control parameters are
unsuitable.
Adjust the control parameters (see Chapter
29.7.2, page 354):
■
Define Titration rate = user and reduce
the minimum rate (Min. rate).
■
Define Titration rate = user and increase
the control range.
The stirring rate is too low.
Stir faster.
The arrangement of elec-
trode and buret tip is not
optimum.
Arrange the electrode and buret tip to an opti-
mum (see manual of control device).
The cylinder volume of the
exchange/dosing unit is
too large.
Use an exchange/dosing unit with a smaller
cylinder volume (yields a smaller minimum vol-
ume increment).
The electrode responds too
slowly.
Replace the electrode.
It takes an unex-
pectedly long time
for the control point
to be reached.
The control parameters are
unsuitable.
Adjust the control parameters (see Chapter
29.7.2, page 354):
■
■
Define Titration rate = user and reduce
the control range.
■
Define Titration rate = user and increase
the minimum rate (Min. rate).
■
Define Titration rate = user and increase
the maximum rate (Max. rate).
