10-6 Port Priority and Rate Limiting Configuration
Usage
Priority to transmit queue mapping on an individual port basis can only be configured on Gigabit
Ethernet ports (
ge
.x.x). When you use the set port priority‐queue command to configure a Fast
Ethernet port (
fe
.x.x), the mapping values are applied globally to all Fast Ethernet ports on the
system.
Example
This example shows how to set priority 5 frames received on
ge
.2.12 to transmit on queue 0.
D2(su)->set port priority-queue ge.2.12 5 0
clear port priority-queue
Use this command to reset port priority queue settings back to defaults for one or more ports.

clear port priority-queue port-string

Configuring Quality of Service (QoS)
Purpose
Eight transmit queues are implemented in the switch hardware for each port. The commands in
this section allow you to set the priority mode and weight for each of the available queues (0
through 7) for each physical port on the switch. Priority mode and weight cannot be configured on
LAGs, only on the physical ports that make up the LAG.
