Specify the interval of refreshing operation.
% Press the desired interval key. Press [OFF] to deactivate the refreshing operation.

Specify the refreshing time.
% Press the desired time key.

Press [OK] to complete the setting.
% To cancel the change, press [Cancel]. In either case, the Process Adjustment Menu Screen will be
restored.
10.7.22 [04/05 Expert Adjustment] - [04 Quality Adjustment] - [01 Printer Gamma Off-
set Adj.]
Change the printer gamma curve to adjust the gradation and background density in highlights. This adjust-
ment is required when the screen has been changed.
NOTICE
Make this adjustment after operating [Gamma Automatic Adj.] of [02 Execute Adjust Operation] from the Ad-
justment Menu Screen or [Gamma Automatic Adj.] of [05 Execute Adjust Operation] in the Utility mode to
complete the gamma automatic adjustment. For details of [Gamma Automatic Adj.], see page 9-19 or
page 10-84.
NOTICE
On the machine with Paper Feeder Unit (with scanner) PF-705 equipped in combination with an ADF, the
printer gamma offset automatic adjustment is to be made in place of the printer gamma adjustment. Use this
adjustment especially to make a fine adjustment or when the machine is not equipped with Paper Feeder
Unit (with scanner) PF-705.
NOTICE
This adjustment is not needed if you operate [05/07 Print Gamma Offset Auto. Adj (RU)] in the Utility mode.
See page 10-82 for details of [05 Print Gamma Offset Auto. Adj (RU)].
NOTICE
The title number given to [Expert Adjustment] will be [04] for the machine without Image Controller IC-601,
or [05] for the machine with that option mounted.

Follow the procedure on page 10-3 to display the Administrator Setting Menu Screen.

Press [01 System Setting], [04/05 Expert Adjustment], [04 Quality Adjustment], and [01 Printer Gamma
Offset Adj.] in sequence.
The Printer Gamma Offset Adjustment Screen will be displayed.

Use [Next] and [Previous] to select the screen to be adjusted.
% Contone is the screen used in texts when Line 1, Line 2, Dot 1, or Dot 2 is used, and consequently
does not require this adjustment.

Press [Print Mode].
The Print Mode Screen will be displayed.
