Colored Paper Specify whether or not the paper is
colored. White, Non-White
Punch Specify whether or not the paper is
punched. Use this setting to avoid us-
ing the punched paper mixed with pa-
per without punch holes. Pre-Punched, No Hole-Punch
Both Sides Adjust Specify magnification ratios (vertical,
horizontal), image shift amounts
(up/down, right/left), and registration
loop amount for both front and back
pages, in order to align the images
printed on front and back pages in du-
plex printing.
It is advisable to perform Both Sides
Adjust for every paper to be used, as
the shrinkage ratio of paper varies
with conditions such as the paper
type, brand, or difference in tempera-
ture of storage location.
The horizontal magnification ratio of
the back page can be adjusted from
[Common Setting] of the Administra-
tor Setting.
The chart adjustment cannot be made
in registering paper conditions in the
Utility mode. Make the chart adjust-
ment in the paper setting accessed
from the Machine Screen or Copy
Screen. Vertical Zoom:
-100 to +100 (1 step = 0.01%)
Horizontal Zoom:
Front -100 to +100 (1 step = 0.01%),
Back -80 to +20 (1 step = 0.01%)
Image Shift Up/Down:
-100 to +100 (1 step = 0.1 mm)
Image Shift Right/Left:
-30 to +30 (1 step = 0.1 mm)
Registration Loop:
-99 to +99 (1 step = 0.1 mm)
Curl Adjustment Correct the curl of output paper in me-
chanical method.
Also, switching on/off for Humidifier
Setting of the Curl Adjustment is avail-
able if Relay Unit RU-508 is mounted
with Humidifier HM-101. Curl Adjustment:
-2, -1, 0 +1, +2
Humidifier Setting: ON, OFF
Air Assist The Air Assist setting to be made for a
tray cannot be registered here be-
cause the paper setting in the Utility
mode is provided in order to register
conditions of paper to be used. Make
the Air Assist setting from the Ma-
chine Screen or Copy Screen by
pressing [Paper Setting]. -
Thickness [Thickness] is provided for the ma-
chine mounted with Hard Disk Kit
HD-514 and Image Controller IC-
601. Select [Specify] to calculate the
amount of paper remaining in the tray
more precisely. Not Specify, Specify
Adjustment Range: 0.050-0.500 mm
