9.12.4 Color Density Control Error
An error number dialog may be displayed while the machine is in print mode performing [02 Color Density
Manual Control] or [03 Register Paper Category].
The following list of error numbers provides the event and remedy corresponding to the error number to be
displayed in the dialog.
Please follow the instruction on the list, then press [Close].
Error No. Event Remedy
001 The custom colorimetric data may have
been composed using a spectropho-
tometer other than specified. Use the Spectrophotometer i1iSis XL or i1Pro
to compose the custom colorimetric data. Do
not use any spectrophotometer other than
specified.
002 There is a difference in the number of
colorimetric charts between those as-
signed to the file name and actual sheet
count. Reconfirm the file name, then remeasure all the
charts with the spectrophotometer.
003 There may be a problem with the chart
that has been measured using the
spectrophotometer. Check the measured chart, then remeasure it
with the spectrophotometer.
004 The spectrophotometer may have
some trouble. Make adjustments on the spectrophotometer,
then remeasure the charts.
005 The patches in the charts may be
measured in the wrong order. Reconfirm the order to measure the patches in
the charts, then remeasure all the charts using
the spectrophotometer.
014 When the color density manual control
or gamma automatic adjustment is in
progress, the cause may be the trouble
that occurred to the data currently
scanned from the output chart images. Perform the color density manual control or
gamma correction again. If the same error
number is displayed again, please contact
your service representative.
015 When the color density manual control

021 Abnormalities occurred in calculating
the regression curve of the colorimetric

tometer, then register paper categories again.

curred while paper categories were
registered. Register paper categories again. If the same
