Disabled - Indicates that no flow control occurs on the port.
Enabled - Indicates that flow control occurs on the port.
7 - Negotiation
You use this selection to configure a port for Auto-Negotiation or
to manually set a port’s speed and duplex mode.
Press 7 to toggle between the following settings:
Auto - Select Auto (for Auto-Negotiation) to set both speed and
duplex mode for the port automatically.
Note
For the AT-8412/SC FX and AT-8214/MT FX line cards, the default
setting on the Negotiation parameter is Manual. The default setting
for ports on all the other line cards is Auto.
Manual - Select Manual to set the speed and duplex for the port.
If you select Manual, three additional selections are displayed in
the Port Configuration menu:

- Speed ................. 0100

- Duplex ................ Full

- MDI/MDIX Crossover .... MDIX
You use these selections to set a port’s speed, duplex mode, and
MDI/MDI/X settings. The possible settings for the 8 - Speed
selections are:
0010 - Indicates 10 Mbps.
0100 - Indicates 100 Mbps.
1000 - Indicates 1000 Mbps.
