Creating or Deleting a Port Trunk
The following procedures allow you to create or delete a port trunk
using the web browser management session.
Creating a Port
Trunk
To create a port trunk, perform the following procedure:
Caution
Configure the software for ports on the switch and the end node
before you connect the cables of a port trunk. Connecting the cables
prior to configuring the ports can create loops in your network
topology. Loops can result in broadcast storms. This can adversely
effect the operations of your network.
1. From the Home Page, select Configuration.
The Configuration System page is displayed with the General tab
selected by default, as shown in Figure 155 on page 434.
2. From Configuration menu, select the Layer 1 option.
The Layer 1 page is displayed with the Port Settings tab shown by
default, as shown in Figure 168 on page 466.
3. Select the Port Trunking tab.
The Port Trunking tab is shown in Figure 175.
