AMPP and Switched Port Analyzer
Switched Port Analyzer (SPAN), or Port Mirroring, selects network traffic for analysis by a network
analyzer. If you are interested in listening or snooping on traffic that passes through a particular port,
Port Mirroring is necessary to artificially copy the packets to a port connected to the analyzer.
Auto Migrating Port Profile (AMPP) support for a mirrored port provides the support needed to make
the mirrored port as profiled-port, and the reverse as well. This does not allow configuring the
AMPP and Switched Port Analyzer
