Task 2: Install the Planner Interface on the PC
The Planner Interface installed is installed on system consoles shipped with new
NonStop S-series servers and Integrity NonStop servers. To install the Planner
Interface on another PC or to install a newer product version, copy the Planner
Interface from the SUT to the PC. The Planner Interface runs on Windows 3.11,
Windows 95, Windows NT, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows -
7 (32 Bit). The PC workstation must have at least 6 megabytes of free disk space to
load the Planner Interface. The Planner Interface runs on the workstation and must
communicate with the host system using TCP/IP.
If the Planner Interface is already installed and configured on the PC, proceed to
3: Planning DSM/SCM Users and Security

Ensure that the TCPIP file and its LISTNER program are
installed in the current host system SYSnn subvolume. To
learn what SYSnn is running, on the host system:
> sysinfo
SYS00

On the host system:
> Volume $DSMSCM.ZDSMSCM

Copy the ZDSMEXE file (transfer as a binary file) from the
host to a subdirectory called DSMSCM on the PC.

Rename DSMSCM to ZDSM.EXE.

Double-click the ZDSM.EXE file to decompress the
DSM/SCM files you just transferred.

Ensure Winsock is installed on the PC and WINSOCK.DLL
is in the \WIN, \WINDOWS, or other directory.

Double-click the SETUP.EXE file in the DSMSCM directory.

Enter the Object Manager server class name.

Enter the Software Product Group type (Shared or Private).
To share software input or product groups across multiple
clients, enter Shared.
